Hi Richard,
You can sell now and pay your regular brokerage comm. ,get whatever the market is paying for the stock and do whatever with the money. Invest it again I assume. Or,supposedly this is an all cash buy out so in a couple of months you will be notified that the shares you own will be tendered for $30.50 cash CA is supposed to be going to it's sources for a large loan of sorts ,anyway it will be done through your brokerage minus a small commission versus a larger one if you sell now .My brokerage said it would charge me $25. to tender the shares I think that the real big expenses are being paid by CA ,but the brokerages are losing a commission so they will charge something. So let's say you sell now you pay the reg. comm. and you invest the money in something you make 10% in a week and the takeover falls through you look like Einstein. On the other hand ,lets say the deal doesn't fall through , in a couple of months you pay a token comm. but lose the ability to participate in the gains your money could be making or (losing) during this period of time and there is also the risk that deal does fall through then CA has agreed to pay a sum for the hassle to CYE , then CYE stock would ( I assume ) drop like a rock we would all look like idiots for not selling at the offer. I 'm sure there are some other ramifications that I am leaving out but in my opion that the basis gist of it . Always do your homework
Have a Great Day richard
