The person that has this portfolio is early in their early 40's but it can apply to any age where dividend cash flows in the near term are not a priority. In this case it was organic dividend growth that was the objective and not investor created dividend growth.

The Young Folk Portfolio, formally known as Project $3 Million is trying to maintain a balance between yield and organic dividend growth so the numbers look like this:

High Dividend Growth Portfolio:

Yield 1.62%
Dividend Growth 12.2%

Young Folk Portfolio:

Yield 2.25%
Dividend Growth 7.3%
