| | | Florida is the only state that reports COVID deaths to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention by the date the death occurred rather than the date reported to the state, or a combination of the two, according to a notation on the agency’s website. The way Florida reports can give the appearance overall deaths are decreasing, the CDC notes. “This does not reflect a true decline and data should be interpreted with caution.”
In the last nine days, Florida has seen a slight uptick in in-hospital COVID deaths.
The average number of deaths per day has risen to 33 over the recent 9 days, from 16 deaths on average for the nine-day period prior.

16 - or even 33 - deaths for a population of over 21 million, while sad, are still not many. People die. In 2017, over 90,000 people in Fl died of the two leading causes of death - heart disease and cancer. Would be more now.
Another thing - why are the “experts” so worried that reporting deaths dated on the day they occur would be “misleading”. If anything, that seems to make sense.
They’re all wondering - why florida has now one of the lowest CoViD death rates in the nation? What they should be wondering about is just how useful are their authoritarian restrictions, mask and vaccine mandates? - of which Florida has none. They should be wondering about being screwed over by leaders and their “experts”. |
