Interesting to me, the FDA only approved 39 new molecular entities in 1997 compared to 53 in 1996. That is still a healthy increase over the 28 approvals of 1995, but less than I was expecting!
I too noticed the much improved mood at Lake Ligand today. Can't wait till Ligand entities begin to add toward FDA approval numbers. Then we will see a happy bunch of liganders!! (:>)
