Yeah, but we are beyond the time where a Republican can be taking sides with the enemy. If he does, he has to pay for it. Whether having to eat his words on Carlson's show is enough I'm not sure. My sense is most Republicans believed he was not authentic in his remarks that night.

He gets a little break because he is very committed to the rule of law, even to a fault. He assumes the courts are a fair solution to all problems, and they simply aren't.

By stealing the election, Democrats started a war, and the only way to end it peaceably is for Republicans to win the war after fighting it out, blood and guts, or for Democrats to acquiesce.

Given the continued fighting full-tilt by Marc Elias, I don't think a peaceful end is likely or desirable.
