I've seen some incredible stuff up on the Mauna's. I'd think it was a hallucination but the guy I was running with saw the same things a few minutes before me. We didn't know until we finally summited.

Ran a major section of Bad Water as support with a friend. Death Valley is NOT flat. We lucked out, temps in the 100's in the day and down to 60's at night. There is such a thing as too much support. Better to just be out there and fight your way forward. If you aint running, you don't know what is going on.
