TOP 3COM LOCAL WEATHER NEWS Tornado Touches Down in Sunnyvale A tornado made a rare appearance in the South Bay today. At about nine this morning, the funnel cloud touched down for a few seconds near the Lockheed credit union office in Sunnyvale. Trees were ripped out of the ground, branches flew 500 feet and tar was pulled off the roof of nearby buildings. One car suffered slight damage and workers were shaken up but no one was injured. High winds and heavy rain pounded the area as yet another Pacific storm hit Northern California. Editor's Note: This building is 1 mile north of 3COM headquarters and 1 block from where I worked before retiring. o~~~ O
