[ Silver ] Hi, Allen.

If you are gonna buy some silver you might as well get some you can play with too.

The Mardigras is financed by Silver Doubloons. 1 Troy oz .999 fine. Since it was once a US Mint Town "O" there are still a lot of Fine Engravers there. The coin shops will sell last years at spot if you talk to them a bit and buy enough.

You should see some of these beauties. Talk about Craftsmen.
I still have a few leftovers from the Hunt Bros. run-up to 49.00 an oz. I was buying all I could find at 7 to 17. But I couldn't part with the best of them. Even at the top.

Couldn't sell the Victor David Brenner Commemorative either. It's about 10 oz. He was the Master Engraver / Designer of the Mercury dime and the Lincoln Cent.

It should be worth more than the smelt value.

One side of this coin is Mercury in Fine detail. The other side has Brenner and Abe on it.

It sits on my desk as a paperweight / momento.

BTW: It's a heck of an excuse to go to New Orleans. :)
