I got my wood stove installed. Works very well. Tested on a 0 degree night. Kept living space temp at 70 degrees. Stocking up on wood. There's lots of well cured wood laying around everywhere out here at this point. Firewood safaris are ongoing with a mechanical log splitter in fabrication. Another big checkmark on the prep list. I will likely not use the stove until necessary so as to not advertise its existence with smoke coming out of my chimney. There's still A LOT of coal coming out of the mountains here. Recently saw a trainload over a mile long. The trains are running regularly. Lots of coal still being used....somewhere in the country. A coal power plant was being built here in Lamar a little while back. The scuttlebutt is that corruption took it down before completion. But the "official story" - theprowersjournal.com I'm on nat. gas...till I'm not.
