The most damning thing about Ray Epps is that he did not enter the Capitol. He drove all the way across the country and then spent 2 days telling Trump supporters that "we need to enter the Capitol" ... but then studiously avoided entering the Capitol himself!

That fits perfectly with his profile as a Fed provocateur:
  • supported Hillary in 2016
  • murky NatSec background, said he's been "doing this for a long time"
  • member of Oath Keepers, which is plainly run by the FBI
  • FBI and DOJ refuse to arrest him
