I keep this article as my pinned tweet since it first came out in November. They suggest it’s time to treat CoViD following the Flu model. Let people stay home until they’re better - but no school or business closings.

But, it’s too late. No one pays attention. The petty power games - including shutting up little kids with masks - are too much fun. In fairness, the recent CDC quarantine guidelines are a step in that direction, drastically cutting quarantine time. But, so far that’s largely ignored as well.
