Your comment spurred a couple stories from hockeyland over the years. Not sure why but what the heck. I was in a restaurant many years ago. In comes an number of junior hockey players from Regina. About 8 of them. They sat down and ordered. 15 mins. later when the food came, all 8 of them took out their bridges and other dental work and proceeded to eat. I used to work out at a gym called the R.A.C. (Regina Athletic Club) One of the regulars also owned a gym in Swift Current, a few hours away. Tiger Williams worked out there. Retired by then. I guess Tiger took a vacation in Hawaii one Winter and went on a hike. He pushed himself so hard on the hike, coupled with dehydration, he ended up with crystalized lactic acid in his lungs. (according to him) Was in the hospital for almost a week. When I bounced in bars way back when I used to hate when hockey teams came in. Always looking for a fight. We eventually just barred team jerseys as part of the dress code. Hockey is a tough game played by tough guys.
