Go barely out in time, and at a higher strike price.

I darn sure don't want to lose the underlying stock unless the gain approaches 8 to 10 years of accumulated dividends.

A couple of excellent rules. You could write calls all day at the 10 years of dividends strike.

Come to think of it, it might be a good play on a low dividend tech stock too.
