Not true. HIV, for example, is still lethal.

It can be made less lethal, almost inert, thanks to modern pharmaceuticals, but the side effects are real, not to mention the cost and the hassle of having to take these pills on a regular basis.

There is no known cure, no vaccine, and no such thing as "nAtUrAl iMmUnItY" against HIV.
