I've been LONG Ford for a reasonable length of time. How does one manage the risk of long term ownership with a stock ranging in price as much as Ford has over recent years? It's best managed with incremental additions and trimming driven by market price. Here's the latest three years of my management of this stock:

(CASH is Red and Stock Value is Blue)

(I apologize for the image quality. It's a phone pic transferred to my computer)

As you will notice, the current cash held in reserve is now nearly equal to the entire investment (stock and cash) at the time this image started.

There's still lots of shares available should the price rise more and if the winds change direction, lots of cash to rebuild share inventory at nice discounts.

Best wishes,
OAG Tom
