Frank -- When the ad campaign was first announced, I suggested that it was a good idea to fire the initial salvos with prices at max level. Then, as awareness, recognition, and demand increased, the ads could be tweaked to include a strategic price reduction element.

When KE was challenged by a couple of analysts in the CC as to why IOM didn't just go with price reductions, he said that without creating additonal awareness beyond the current pool of buyers, the pull of price reductions would be wasted on uninformed consumers who didn't understand what removaeble storage was or why they needed it. (imho, he really screwed-up his presentation of this key element of the call)

With KE's reputation as a marketing genius and builder of companies ( and his suspect abilitty to successfully run the day to day stuff a large scale, maturing operation), I think that the 1-2 punch of an ad campaign / strategic price manipulation really butters his bread.

He and the Board can always hire some VP level talent to over-see the daily ops of a maturing company. Perhaps we're better off if KE gets to focus on creative marketing and sales issues.

I also hope that he has been made to listen to his preformance on the last cc and that he has hired a speech coach!
