DeSantis would win, IMO, if he got through the primary. If he did, that would probably be because DJT didn't run. If he didn't run, I think he would endorse DeSantis. The article is correct - the Ds try to pick the R candidate by bashing the ones they don't like. It worked for selecting McLame and Rombot. Pretty sure that most Rs have figured out that trick by now though, so Ds and Rs would be working together for DeSantis in a backhanded way, absent Trump.

How's this for a wild thought (I know you won't like it as DJT disappointed you, but stick with me here - we're both dreaming about the same result, absent personalities - liberty, law and order. I got the idea from the last episode of "The Expanse")

Here it is: DeSantis runs, Trump doesn't. DeSantis wins. DeSantis gets a lot of stuff rolling on law enforcement fixes - scorched earth at DOJ/FBI. This rapidly determines that Trump actually won 2020. DeSantis rolls back all laws in Brandon years due to fraud and resigns to allow Trump to serve the 4 years he was elected to serve. DeSantis is appointed whatever the hell he wants to do in Trump's cabinet and runs for President afterward, hopefully for 8 years if he wants it. Trump continues the reforms, confusion reigns on who the Ds want to be mad at.

Not sure about the Constitutionality of all of it, but we're in new territory with a fraudulent admin. The 22 month hold on data will not be too bad to deal with because a lot of it is being preserved by States due to lawsuits and investigations. There will be complaints, but there will be LOTS of evidence.

I haven't read up on his wife's cancer. That's a big factor in his life. Big.
