mRNA vaccines is not stopping omicron.
This is correct , the vaccines don’t stop COVID-19. VOVID-29 has mutated in Omicron hand is so infectious that the vaccines don’t stop it. They do reduce the risk of getting sick or die to the point where it is more like flu.

NVAX has missed the opportunity to make a dent in the vaccine market, I think. They are just too late, and the mRNA vaccines have proved that they work well and can adapt to new strains quickly. We will likely need yearly boosters for the rest of our lives as COVID-29 will be around forever, mostly endemic with some epidemic outbreaks here and there.

My concern is that a new variant is going to pop up sooner or later that is more dangerous again and may evade the vaccines.

As for stocks, I am adding AMZN on the recent decline, bought a little of the recent IPO’s PINS and GDRX (all growth stocks) and may add some more, There is a bear market in growth stocks right now that mostly reverse the multiple expansion seen in 2020/21 but may well overshoot a little.

I am also keeping an eye on EXFY (Expensify) which seems like a great price of software to make expense reports easier. Still expensive though, but not as much as it used to be.

Sold doen my defense stocks LMT and NOC as they reached fair value. Perhaps bad timing with the things going on in the Ukraine’s but who knows. I am keeping LHX because I really like how this one is managed. I also have a smallish position in SAIC (and may add more).
