Both China and Russia are believers in global cooling. If Zharkkova's global cooling predictions hold, by 2030, there will be no grain grown in Southern Russia, Northern China, Southern Australia and Canada. Crop zones in the USA will shift south, disrupting grain and corn harvests. The Ukraine steps are the bread basket of Europe. I believe taking back Crimea and getting control over Ukraine is fundamentally about food security for Russia. The CCP know full well that no Chinese dynasty has survived a period of global cooling. This is why they are plowing under huge tracts of African savanna, shipping boat loads of grain and food back to China, and buying up all the farm land and food processing businesses in the USA and around the world. Russia now controls oil and gas supply to the EU, and will soon control basic food supply. The near term future for the EU doesn't look very good at this time. Meanwhile, the idiots in charge in Washington are focussed on "build back better", experimental vaccines, and mandated EV transition with no underlying metals supply chain to make it happen. This won't end well for quality of life and standard of living for Americans.
