Brenda in particular is promising "serious and severe costs," but I don't think even you, the biggest Brenda fan on this thread, believe her.

Sanctions, if implemented, won't have too much effect on the US. Western Europe, however, is where "serious and severe costs" will be paid if Russia decides to cut off energy exports in response to sanctions. They (many of the EU members) are already in deep shit with their idiotic greenie energy policies. Such stupidity blows me away, and if Russia does cut them off, darkness, freezing and death just might make them rethink their priorities. But I wouldn't count on it.
