Talked to KT at TeleChoice and here is what he had to say paraphasing:

Aware is a poor choice for the ADSL play. They are not in any trials.
Westell is getting oversold and is becoming a killer buying opportunity. Westell will be deploying CAP. DMT has not won. CAP will be in the US West deployment. Bell Atlantic will be CAP. (I will add GTE will be CAP).

Amati is ahead of itself. Amati will not benefit from the initial installation of ADSL, but could benefit as CAP moves into DMT over time.

Orckit has little US potential. HDSL in Europe is Orckit's and they have Europe essentially.

NUKO is well postitioned. Data has been over-emphasised. VOD will be the big application of ADSL and other broadband capabilities. Entertainment is the market.

Ariel; their ADSL; little chance. The CO market; Sobin is good, but can they find anyone interested? Unlikely.

Westell will still be the big win.

This isn't what many of you want to hear. Buy Westell is the recommedation. KT was excited at the prospect of buying it at $28.
