Was that the Nakwasina? I can't remember the deck. I've been on it though. The timber cruising crews were using it, not the silviculture group. They were down in Pt. Houghton and Windham.

We always had to carry the big gun. I know the guy from the FSL who wrote the paper on it to get it adopted. Well, he's gone now, but I know his son. That gun hurt like hell shooting it. Always dreaded the yearly test.

Flew in a lot of helicopters. Got to fly with the FS in a CG copter out to Pt. Retreat with the door wide open. We were looking at the lighthouse to see if the FS wanted to "adopt" it.

Got the great story from the captain of the steel boat about Lituya Bay. The Ranger. His name will come to me. He was a kid with his dad when it happened. Howard
