SCOTUS pick won't be Kamala:
There’s a lot of chatter this morning about Biden appointing VP Harris to the Supreme Court. One fact likely would stop that effort: Under the 25th Amendment, a vacancy in the office of the VP shall be filled by appointment by the president, subject to confirmation by majority vote of both houses of Congress. That means that if Kamala steps down as VP to join SCOTUS, the Democrats would no longer control the Senate. And then the Rs could block any new VP nominee that the Rs didn’t want. I can’t see the Dems getting themselves in that position.
