Every episode of this last season started out with a forest scene that was disconnected from the main storyline. I understand this was in keeping with the books, but seemed like a non sequitur to those who haven't read the books. Why would they bother to do this? Maybe keeping open the possibility of continuing the series at some future time, I've read the producers are open to that.
