APM- Advanced Power Management, supported by all current chipsets, Win95, but not NT4. Features include sleep mode and wake-on-ring.
ACPI- Advanced Configuration & Power Interface, successor to APM, supported by all current chipsets, but not by any released operating system. New features supported (but not implemented, obviously) include OnNow (press power button, get desktop, not some infernal boot-up of operating system) and remote wake-up (like wake-on-ring but on a LAN).

440BX- Chipset to support Deschutes (.25u) processors with 100Mhz bus speeeds (350, 400, 450Mhz). Since this is a 50% improvement, there should be a significant improvement from 333 to 350Mhz. That's why you should wait. Should come out mid-year. May have other nifty features, perhaps 1394 Firewire?
