Wharfie, Face it, Russia was never a concern until Trump won I meant that Russia was never a concern for the mainstream media until Trump won.
The reason why I defended Mitt Romney back in 2012 is not because I agreed with him back then, but because he has been consistent in his beliefs, even when all of the media ganged up on him. That's a man of true character, one that we seldom see these days in politics.
As for me, I've been consistent in my support for disengagement for the past 9-10 years. (Before that, I was still a believer in the neocon experiment.)
Yes, that means letting Russia have Ukraine, or parts of it. I didn't give a s--t about Crimea, and I don't give a s--t about the rest of Ukraine. AFAIK, they're all ethnic Russians anyway, so whether they want to call themselves Russian or Ukrainian is their business, not ours.
Now maybe someone can make a case for defending Ukraine as an up-n-coming democracy. Heck, maybe if she could follow in the footsteps of Taiwan or South Korea, maybe if the people there could create a grassroots movement toward democracy, and maybe if we're willing to fortify Ukraine knowing that she's right on Russia's doorstep, then maybe I might be interested in defending Ukraine and eventually admitting it into NATO.
Until then, all your bullshit, including but not limited to "oh we have to keep our promises to Ukraine that Obama couldn't keep" or "oh we can fight a proxy war on the cheap" or "ha ha you too have double standards" or "STFU you Korean ingrate you," is meaningless.
Just like Brandon and Brenda's foreign policy, which as usual for Democrats is completely nonexistent.
And you know it, too, which is why just like RDKBot and every single other libtard on this thread, you only have one response: Blame Trump.
