Ah Epitope !

Oh! I remember it well.
Since it was co-founded by Burger and Hubbard , who also co-founded Trinity Biotech with Tony Nichols , I have watched the soap opera unfold over the last several years

EPTO continues to baffle me and I am amazed that it continues to defy gravity even at $ 5.00 a share and as recently as 1995 the stock was changing hands around $25 bucks..( Of course they were really, really bleeding red ink back in those days ) Since then they have ventured into Genetically engineered grapes and Tomatoes with Strawberry Shortcake their most recent offering. (Hold the whipped cream and Hep A

They gave up on their Ora-quick HIV test and decided to tie all their fortunes on the Ora-sure collection device. At that point Burger and Hubbard had a falling out with the BOD as they wanted to develope the POC HIV test which Dr. Krutzig was working on at DDI.....Later EPTO had a chance to pick up DDI and the Uni-gold platform but fortunate for us they turned it down.

As of now EPTO has decided to spin off Agritope and remove Al Ferro and his petri dishes back to the lab with the genetically engineered Grapes and Tomatoes.

As for the disparity in the price of TRIBY and EPTO , I really think EPTO has been able to give the investment community a "snow job" on just what they are doing with the Ora-sure collection device.Most of the investment press refer to Epitope as " the HIV test company "......remember they have a very limited product line and I seriously doubt if they continue to keep up with any R & D on any new tests since they have been hemorrhaging red ink for the past several years...( I do not think they have ever turned a profit in the past 15 years ? )

As for the news release on Friday after the markets close ? makes me very suspicious.

&&&....cheers

pc ?......he seemed to vanish after ESOL tanked
