"Question, how much can you read into the slight pop on Nextel price at day's end?"

That's a tough question to answer because there's as much art as science involved. But let me say that volume is a key factor and the picket fence of recent days also raises my eyebrow. What's especially interesting in NXTL's case is that not so long ago the pattern was reversed: Up at the opening, down at the close. This happened time after time for several weeks as the stock was finding its bottom. The recent action tells me that the professionals smell a move up.

The notion that MM's could prop up a stock with 250 million shares outstanding doesn't make sense to me, especially with recent volume. Last time I looked, there was more than one MM. :-) So if someone tried to keep NXTL in a tight range the last few days, they've got deep pockets. Yes, indeedy. I don't believe it for a second.

I've given my honest opinion regarding NXTL's short term direction. Time will either prove me right or wrong. Either way, I have no place to hide. If the stock breaks out I may have to buy new jeans with bigger pockets to hold the extra loot.
