Perhaps heeding these points could have saved many of us 6 months of grief in ASND? ------------------------------------------------ >>>1. Immediately following, several analyst downgrades accompanied by pessimistic outlooks for the company. >>>2. Don't get caught up in a story (NETM was the fastest growing co.<<< in America in '95). ASND was one of the industry's hottest momentum stocks, returning in excess of 5000% at it's highs since coming public in mid-1994. #1 in RAS and just aquired networking's #1 FR company, CSCC. Some analysts billing ASND as a possible "CSCO killer". >>>3. And probably the most important is Don't throw good money after bad!<<< From August to December, ASND is caught in a long downtrend from 56 to low-20s. Small investors continue to accumulate all the way down in expectations of a rally and perceived undervalue in the stock. Meanwhile, institutional investors steer clear of the company. >>>Oh yeah, a 4th lesson for me is stay the hell away from software companies.<<< 2nd half 1997, software glitch for the MAX TNT interoperability with European protocol force Euro sales to stagnate as customers place orders to upgrade/build networks, on hold. ------------------------------------------------ Isn't hindsight grand?
