Sorry for coming across dismissive. It's just that I've been there and done that and still have a touch of PTSS over it and I really don't want to do it again, particularly since there's nothing new.

My interest is not so much in the issue of universal health care than that is seems that nothing is thought through anymore, just tossed around like political footballs. And spitballs.

The rights in the Bill of Rights is all about negative rights. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights includes positive rights. Positive rights inherently compromise someone else's rights. Some people seem comfortable with that or just don't think about it. Positive rights are an iffy proposition in the US, and an essential one. It seems derelict to be cavalier about it.
