I would really like to go penni; I've never ben to an opera, just like Alexa said... :o) MJ informs me though, that even with her dislike of humans, she is sure that at least one half (quite a large number) of Americans were probably, actually, "offended" by last night's butchering of the Olympics and Japan and culture and respect and our place among nations; and she is going to keep an eye out for a cbs/olympic.com address.

We also saw an ad for the Tonya/Nancy thing, and gasped. Geez, either Nancy needs money, badly, or a brain transplant. Unfortunately, Tonya is from my State (state? - just don't want to be confused with state of mind, ya see); and while Packwood was good joke material, and had that entertainment value only an I-don't-get-it idiot can provide, Tonya is just plain scary. Embarrassing. Cringeably. There have been whole periods of my life, thank me for sharing, when I couldn't watch tv, it freeked me out or angered me too much (and I'm so pleasant to watch with) ~ and I think I feel one of those periods coming. Probably gonna have to skip the Olympics this winter. Cheesy bummer. Or perhaps, per the amazing and insightful Alexunk theory of nations/cheeses, we're not cheesy enough. I'm sooo confused. This experience has torn me asunder; and cast me adrift and awash.

And so, I too, must heave myself up, hove or shreeve or shrove or both, basically get myself stuck, fastened like a barnacle, up there, above the tideline, on the beach ~ the warm cove shores ~ of Rambiland. I lie amongst the kelp fronds and float bulbs, and cough seawater into the sand; a pool before me reflecting the high peaks and white clouds, I sense, sheltering above my head... seeing upward from my most humbled moment... and I swear, if given a life, I will never leave home, again, ever. (Cough) Ever.

What's for dinner?
