can someone tell me why any analyst can be
"extremely bullish" and put a "strong buy" recommendation on a stock that has a fy99 p/e
double its future growth rate?
johnlea, Micron needs to borrow $500,000,000.00. Goldman Sachs is probably going to be the lead underwriter. Also, Goldman was the underwriter for their last offering. This means GS placed a bunch of Conv. Debs. in their institutional accounts that are under water. I am sure customers are crying. Abby is just trying to help them out. Or, customers made GS bid on the crap bonds, and GS trading desk needed to get them off the books. Anyway, there is plenty of crap to spread around and more crap to come. All with nice underwriting fees attached.
On another subject, Ever notice how MU values their inventory at the average market price for the quarter? And not the quarter end value? I look for these guys to change their accounting procedure to using quarter end value the first time it is higher than the average. Tim
