I actually heard the story about Herodotus in an undergraduate class at the University of Maryland in a Greek history course. I remember the professor and the entire room laughing when they heard the story and how ridiculous it was. In medical school when I learned about vitamin D I remembered my Greek history course.I had thought about posting here for a while but never did. I just search the Internet for the story a week ago and posted it now. Interesting isn’t it
