When have we "left them alone"?
We CAN'T "leave them alone." That's the point.

Even if we did everything possible to "leave them alone," they're always going to blame us for what we've done in the past.

Or the "crimes" against Muslims living in the Western world today.

Or the spread of heathen culture across the world.

No matter what, they'll blame us for everything. Much like leftists here in America who will blame "systemic racism" for all of their woes, the Islamic extremists will never be satisfied.

That's why it's impossible to appease them.
