Remember the Sherlock Holmes deduction about the dog. One cannot help but conclude that seeing the stocks firm during the drilling is better news than if the prices were soft. I believe in buying low and selling high, and so, I am not buying here as we all had plenty of time to buy all we wanted at half this price more than once. If someone wants to pay double now, let them. They do have the advantage of being closer to the answer because the drilling is underway. The big money, however, is made by those who reason out the probable outcome ahead of time, as many of us have, and then holding until we are proven correct (and of course we must be willing to take our loss if we turn out to be wrong). There is a whole group of investors with a totally different psychology who come in when the thing is proven or even simply more probable. These folks are willing to pay more for the security of knowing it is not a dry hole. That group tries to be the first in on any positive news. The "true" speculator does not need to sweat that at all..he has made his bet..and he knows if he turns out to be right it is only a matter of how well he will do. Furthermore he or she will always do better than those who waited for proof. Remember the quote I often post, "Sero venientibus ossa" - The bones to the late-comers.
