Without dignity and honor the Jefferson quotes are just empty platitudes. The more I read Jefferson the more I realize he was not concerned with the Constitution being written on stone tablets, he was aware things should evolve and change. Jefferson could not foresee the three big evils, FDR's burgeoning bureaucracy, the military industrial complex and teacher's unions.
