Christine, the president would not never have a need to lie if he was not asked. There are things about which we have a right to lie :) I have lied often to protect those around me. As far as I understand the law it is only perjury if it is material to the case at hand. I am aware of the regulations concerning sexual relations between parties with a wide balance of "power" even if they are consensual. The thing is there often is too much power in labeling yourself a victim so I consider the whole legal basis absurd and short-lived. But listen Christine I find it hard to believe that this whole celebration of gossip is the result of Clinton's obvious and persistent equivocation. There is an element of the thrill of watching the high and mighty brought low by what they thought was a casual and inconsequential entanglement. Lewinski shares with Helen of Troy her role as a catalyst of a drama in which she is hardly allowed to comment. Christine, is it possible that if you had found yourself in the after hours in the White House talking to the president about his work helping needy children that your knees would have trembled with the excitement coursing thru your mind and body, and that you, too, would have compromised yourself? If so would you lie about it afterwards?
