Don't mistake me identifying the teutonic character of USA as necessarily criticism. Like so much in human nature, there are good and bad aspects to any particular aspect, depending on time and circumstance.
My father wrote in his WWII diary when he lived in tents and foxholes for 4 years defeating Germany across the middle east, north Africa and Italy, "If the Germans would turn their talents to the arts of peace they would be great people". He was commenting on the high quality of a German ammunition box and generally on the good quality work they did. He didn't have particular hatred of Germans but that Hitler had to be beaten. On the contrary, he expressed sympathy for the German artillery men [and their families] who he knew must have been killed in an artillery retaliation he had directed [his group did sound ranging of German guns to locate their position and direct return fire]. Once I realized what he had done [I was not then born] I was not sure I appreciated him risking my life and that of all my descendants. He had some very close calls. I think I deserve at least a Military Cross if not an actual Victoria Cross, risking my life to stop Hitler.
The election steal was obvious. Laughably obvious. More so than the fake WMDs in Iraq of which there could have been a few [of the old chemical shells variety though obviously not nukes on 40 minute launch which was obviously absurd].
Hopefully Trump wins in 2024 after getting the computers under control and other swindling mechanisms stopped, but he won't unless that's fixed. A well regulated militia might have to enforce proper, on the day, in person, with identity, voting. Leaving it up to backroom swindling in the dead of night when observers are locked out is not how to run a railroad, or elections.
But meanwhile, Biden and the Democrat gangsters in Congress are literally calling the shots. As Biden said, things could go real crazy real fast, when Armageddon is underway [though he meant just in Ukraine].
Auntie Jacinda is nice enough though she has an eerie resemblance in character and appearance to somebody I won't name. It's her generation. I don't blame her. She is just acting out her ideology. I blame the people who voted for her by the million. Getting angry with her is silly. I remember having bad ideas when I was not an adult, but I figured out young that they were bad ideas. Heck, I probably would have voted for her when I was 18 or 20.
I still have bad ideas. It's easy to get things wrong. We have only 1 kilogram of wet chemistry to keep us on the straight and narrow, so it's not surprising we get a LOT wrong. Ignorance is our main feature. Ignorance combined with stupidity. Throw in a bit of hubris, arrogance and maybe even malevolence in many people and it's not surprising that things go very badly wrong at times. Even if we try hard to get things right. And we can't do nothing because that's a decision too.
I'm quite glad in a way that it's not up to me whether to launch 50 megatons onto Washington, or Moscow, or both. If Washington suddenly vanished, I can imagine a lot of Americans might think it not necessarily a bad thing. "Sorry, Federal taxes are not going to be collected for the foreseeable future as The Swamp has been drained." Putin should say he is NOT going to nuke Washington to avoid wayward Americans provoking him to do just that in retaliation.
