There are many things that I didn't like about Trump. But his refusal to expand on forever wars and actually reducing them wasn't one of them.

Reread the AQ strategic plan for bringing down the US by the year 2020. It boils down to provoking the US to overcommit to military adventures until its economy implodes. They are a little behind their target date, but thanks to the neocons and the military-industrial complex they did much better than expected. I'd say they have almost succeeded; the next big shock to the system will be the last.

This would not have happened under Trump because he assessed everything through a business P&L lens rather than a geopolitical one. It would not have happened under an Eisenhower pay-as-you-go either.

Biden can't get it right; the US problems are structural.
