Good for you, you're very fortunate, and brave. In Canada the federal government rules the unvaxxed cannot leave their country. Can't get on a domestic or international plane. Lose their job. No escape route to freedom exists for them.
Very glad you've expressed your thoughts, and imho perhaps be more careful around the vaxxed as they think they are immune and are around more people.
In regards to science, most is junk science. The "safe and effective" phrase was junk science, as was "stop the spread".
To give you an idea of what we're up against a very educated associate tells me that the cold virus and the flu virus are the same thing, and just as they guess which strain of flu will come next and prepare the inoculation against it, the same will be done with the covid virus, requiring seasonal boosters to maintain the passport and control the spread. I couldn't believe how poorly informed he was, and didn't have the heart to burst his little bubble by straightening him out. He thinks he knows everything and has science on his side :)
Another thinks the shot is still 95% effective. He says it's science.
Another thinks the vaccines introduce a weakened part of the spike protein into your arm, stimulating an immune response. I explained it's not that way at all, it's a genetic instruction for your own cells to produce the spike, big difference. He says it's the exact same thing. And he has science on his side, his uncle is a scientist.
