Kevin,

G3 and P-II on 0.25um:

Where did you get "G3-based computers are selling fast."? Since the official introduction of P-II on 0.25um has been only a few days ago, of course, you are not going to see too many yet. And since it takes almost an entire quarter to fabricate a CPU, we will see a mass flood of P-II on 0.25um in a quarter or two.

Intel traditionally has phased out or introduced a product slowly over time because of so much at stake, billions and billions of dollars. So don't worry! P-II on 0.25um will show up very soon at your nearest computer stores.

By the way who is selling G2(3) in retail? Not even the swap-meets (computer shows)!

John.
