it's 7:45pm, Sunday in Albania & I have too much idle time

you can pick & choose any argument you like.. & you'd be correct.
so, what I write below (after my own few paragraphs) is what others have said to me, so i'll try to stick as accurately as I recall.
this is lengthy.. a few people, a few countries.
the impeachment of Bill Clinton.. he should have enlisted Larry Flynt to 'out' as many republican spousal cheaters, queers, whatever closeted perverts he could discover.
that was a complete character assassination by questionable republican characters with failings of their own.
I mean, their great American hero.. Newt Gingrich!

for the record, when Clinton left office we had peace & prosperity.. also, paying down the deficit. he screwed the Saudis on a 6billion$ airplane order.. Airbus to Boeing. he established relations with VietNam. now, you undersell his effort in Bosnia.. a gas line? infrastructure a problem?

the truth is, as I've some time in the Balkans.. I'm in Albania the moment, you would be hard pressed to hear a disparaging word about Bill Clinton. he's the hero of Kosovo, actually most of the Balkans. there's a statue of him in Pristina Kosovo. hell, there's even a statue of Hillary here in Sarande, where my ass is glued to this chair. it's 7:20pm & dark, otherwise, I'd find it & take a picture for you. & yes, Bill bombed the Chinese embassy in Belgrade. Bill did well.

long ago, in a Munich beer garden, I'm talking with a few Germans.. perfect English. they were of mention about Bill Clinton's involvement in the mid- 90's in the Balkans civil war, and later in Kosovo. he led Nato. he was the leader the Europeans needed at that perilous time. their words. good Clinton words, but words unspoken in the States.

I'm flying from HongKong to SanFrancisco a dozen yrs ago, a United 747 (never ever fly an American flagged airline overseas!). in coach, seated next to me, were two Vietnamese guys. turns out the one next to me was in the N. Vietnamese Army, but somewhat after my time there. currently, he's a businessman (self described) who has a family in, he said, Saigon.. wife, daughter & son. after the war, the government sent him to Germany for edu in eng, later England for English.. in addition speaks fluent French & Vietnamese of course. Clinton est relations with VietNam.. much later, visited & played the sax (he told me) for the people on the street.
Clinton had great presence in VietNam!

I'm thinking the world had a much appreciated, and a much better opinion of Bill Clinton than we do here in the States.
most unfortunate, but it seems as people in the States are much more comfortable with the 'dark side' of politics..

I'd give Clinton an A-
he could have done much better with the women.

by the way.. this is cemetery is in Sarajevo. if you note, the headstones are quite similar. most grave markers, ages early 20's. it was sobering to see the ages when they died.
the mosques are sometimes close to the churches.. their cemeteries are adjacent. not like what we have in the States.
Sarajevo has a lot of cemeteries.
so much for Bill Clinton not arriving there any earlier than when he did. he wasn't perfect.
