Thanks for the update. For the record, I didn't care that slick played with the women. Most A type personalities which successful politicians, CEOs tend to be, view women as something else to conquer. Fortune magazine did a good article about it in the late 90s. The only thing I didn't like is how he lied and lied until the evidence was undeniable.
Clinton was smooth. I knew some people that were close to him and they all said he could win anyone over.
FWIW - I'd take Clinton over Kennedy any day. I've read a ton about Kennedy and most of what people think about him couldn't be more wrong. If he hadn't caught that bullet, he was probably on course to be one of the worst presidents in history. There was a lot going on behind the scenes and he got a lot of credit for stuff he was actually against. Bobby K was the good guy, JFK not so much.
As for why he was assassinated, I've heard lots of reasons of which all or none might be true. Supposedly he also wanted to get rid of the Fed and crack down on the bankers. Personally, I think maybe ALL the conspiracy theory stuff might be true. The bankers, CIA hired the mob who hired....
What always stunk the most to me is how Oswald was allowed to go to Cuba and then come right back into a sensitive job. There's no way. I was in sensitive positions and just bumping into a communist at the grocery store was enough to get your clearance yanked for a while until a thorough investigation was completed and even then you were going to be under the microscope for a while.
