General observations on the market in gold, silver and the mining stocks... What I'm seeing is that miners "as a group" are bottoming now... They are split into two camps... First, those that have already "popped"... They have risen off the bottom to a short term high... and then have settled back down to sit on top of the moving averages that they were holding below before moving. Second, those that have not yet "popped"... many of which are still moving lower, or sort of drifting sideways while holding below the MAs. Gold and silver have decidedly broken higher... and that drives a divergence in the stocks... as some are more closely correlated to the price of gold than others... so, look at the chart for gold... then look at the chart for Altius... If it's a valid proxy for the royalty companies... they're on fire... leading the pack higher... but, hmmmm... GROY continues lower ? I'll try to revisit a sort of the royalty companies after the close today....
