I agree on the slow move and what's personally comfortable. What pogue and I are trying to make clear is that the levels between 100 and 10000 iu are at the extreme low end of the human need spectrum . The curve does not start to swing up in advantages until you are above 20,000. It is not all or nothing, it is irrelevant vs effective dosages we are pointing out.

Beer, which was my liquid of choice for over 50 years, puts on organ fat and that is a very hard weight to shed. It took me two years of non beer drinking to start to see changes in my body fat. That despite a previous period of heavy ultra running and hiking. Alcohol is sugar with a few changes in structure. It returns to sugar in the body. A beer gut is the visible iceberg of organ fat.

I eat apples as well. Sugar is my weakness, however.
