If someone else filters my messages, without my consent or input, then I too have a problem with that, however if I do the filtering, or it is done with my consent, I just don't understand the problem. In real life we all are continually filtering information,ie the "Remote Control", who we choose to listen to a party and who we tune out. The very act of bookmarking a thread or profile is a filtering function. What's so different about selecting which posts we want read within a thread?

Hope you can understand the overriding fundamental issue here of individual choice.
