like you I believe in personal responsibility.. but, I also believe in social responsible too.
I'm thinking most people if not all, minus a few retards, would agree with that.
If we do not have that since we exited caves a few thousand years ago, then we have
failed as a society despite social mores & the development of the system of law.

I think if there's an intent to do harm, within the guidance of free enterprise, then by all
means the law should come down hard on the Sacklers. I'll use the Sacklers. They knew
what they were doing. They're arrogantly rich & 'gamed' the system and got away with it.
People have died, families destroyed. Shit happened. And you think the responsibility
for this mess is solely the consumer?

I have a lot of doubts about a lot of things. In this case I will not defend the strong &
influential.. they easily do that themselves, but we of course are not all the same, strong
& influential. What about the young, the ignorant, the vulnerable.. one's children, family..
where is the safety within societies huge numbers? maybe that is why we ultimately
have the creation of law since we left that cave thousands of years ago.
To some people, it's a game they can play very well.
