My father passed away because of Hep B.

I haven't seen the clinical data of SciClone's lead drug but if it helps those suffering from terminal Hep B, God help SciClone.
Actually, Hep B is not very common in the states but in Asia, watch out!

Hepatitis B actually leads into liver disease, which is the hardening of the liver. From what the doctors told my family, less than 25% of Hep B carriers actually develop liver disease or anything life threatening. This may be the reason why an absolute cure seems unlikely. The virus just adapts to its environment and rarely kills the host. Just wanted to share what I know about Hepatitis B. By the way, everyone should get immunized from Hep B. There are vaccines for Hepatitis B at every hospital. It costs about $160 for a total of 6 shots.
