I have always believed that in order to get fair trials, juries should be selected strictly by some kind of lottery.

IOW, all eligible names go into a registry and as each jury is needed, they are selected by total chance.

For example: It's absurd to be excluded from a jury because you may have suffered a similar crime, but that is guaranteed.

Or even to exclude people because of their family or job situations.
