Any mask that really could stop a virus would be completely non usable in everyday life.
I hear condoms are not 100% effective in stopping STDs or pregnancy.

I hear seat belts are not 100% effective in preventing death in the event of an auto accident.

I hear helmets are not 100% effective in preventing death or serious injury to the head in the event of a crash.

I hear snow tires and chains are not 100% effective when it comes to driving in wintery conditions.

I even hear that umbrellas are not 100% effective when it comes to keeping you dry from the rain.
